I'm trying
to set up a static IP address on my computer, how can I find the DNS
Addresses? These instructions will help you
identify which DNS Servers you’re using. However your router must
already be setup and on the internet to get the DNS number. 1. Go to your desktop and double
click on Internet Explorer (Located on the Start Menu in Windows XP). 2. Once "Internet
Explorer" opens, please type the router’s IP address into the
"Address Bar" (By default this would be http://192.168.1.1) then click Go or [Enter]. 3. The "Enter Network
Password" window will appear. Skip user name and type the routers
password (admin is the default password) as the password, and click
the OK button. 4. Once the "Setup" area
opens, please click on the Status Tab. 5. Once the “Status” area opens
you'll find your DNS Servers near the bottom of the page (Normally there will
be 2, and the last will be usually be 0.0.0.0). |
